|
This is a Hero Necromancer set-up designed to handle extreme pressure, notably in Hard Mode. It has been successfully used for Vanquishing and acquiring Protector titles with much ease and minimal hero micro-managing.
[edit] Composition

SS Necro

Necro Healer

Jagged MM Necro
[edit] SS Necro
[edit] Attributes and Skills
[edit] Equipment
- Armor : Survivor Insignia, Attunement Runes
- Weapons : Any Curses weapon will do, 20/20 is a good set-up
[edit] Counters
[edit] Variants
- Replace Rip Enchantment with Defile Flesh in areas with very heavy healing support.
- Replace Mark of Pain with Insidious Parasite for areas with multi-hitters (i.e. Triple Chop, Hundred Blades, etc.)
- You can make this character N/Mo in stead of N/Rt and use a Monk resurrect instead of Death Pact Signet.
[edit] Necro Healer
[edit] Attributes and Skills
[edit] Equipment
- Armor : Survivor Insignia, Vigor/Vitae runes
- Weapons : Any 20/20 Restoration Magic will do, better if the hero has more energy though.
[edit] Counters
- Caster hate
- Spirit removal will gimp Mend Body and Soul and Spirit Light.
[edit] Variants
- Vengeful Weapon instead of Splinter Weapon. Increase Soul Reaping to 12+1+1, taking the attribute points out of Channeling Magic.
- If conditions become a problem or in condition heavy areas consider bringing Weapon of Remedy instead of Xinrae's Weapon.
[edit] Jagged MM Necro
[edit] Attributes and Skills
[edit] Equipment
- Armor : 1 Bloodstained Insignia on the head/hands/boots, Survivor Insignia on the remaining slots, Attunement runes.
- Weapons : A Death Magic 20/20 set with +12 energy focus.
[edit] Counters
- Corpse consumption, see Variants for help
[edit] Variants
- If there are no corpses available for any reason, swap this necro for another SS necro, but give him an interrupt for better control or you can add an SV necro hero.
- Putrid Bile and/or Rising Bile instead of Extinguish and Aegis in areas that are low on physical attackers.
- If going on 4-man party areas switch Extinguish for Foul Feast.
- Hex removal instead of Foul Feast in hex-heavy areas with little to no conditions. Convert Hexes, Remove Hex, and Reverse Hex are good choices.
[edit] Usage
- Call a target so all necros lock onto it.
- The SS necro will start putting hexes on, while the MM will accumulate minions to do damage through Barbs and Death Nova
- Vanquish the mission/area while repeating the previous steps.
[edit] Notes
- All will go on auto-pilot, even in areas with less party members.
- You may need some micromanagement to flag your heroes out of AoE spells and environmental hazards.
- The flaws in this build are its susceptibility to interrupt and its lack of hex removal. Having hex removal, interrupt(s), and Pain Inverter is suggested for the other players/heroes.
- Use this build with the following henchman set-up: At least one protection hench, one warrior or dervish, one support hench and one elementalist. For harder areas, take both monk henchmen. You are, of course, interchangeable with all of these professions.
[edit] Trivia
- This team build is often called Sabway by the community, named after the original author who used it in PvE instead of HA.
