|
This PvE Paragon gives constant damage reduction to your party using powerful PvE-only skills and deals decent damage with its spear.
[edit] Attributes and Skills
The alternative with Luxon skills has the following Skill Template:
[edit] Equipment
- Survivor's or Centurion's Insignias on all pieces.
- A 15^50 Sundering or Vampiric Spear of Fortitude and a Command Shield of Fortitude.
[edit] Usage
- Maintain Aggressive Refrain with Anthem of Flame between fights.
- Use Focused Anger on recharge.
- Keep "Save Yourselves!" and "There's Nothing to Fear!" up as much as possible. Chain "TNtF!" with allies, if applicable.
- Spam "Go For the Eyes!" when you need energy.
- Use Spear of Lightning for damage.
[edit] Counters
- Anti-shout skills such as Vocal Minority
- Anti-adrenaline hexes such as Soothing Images
- Blind/Missing, Blocking, and Hexes that trigger on attacks
[edit] Variants
- Substitute Anthem of Weariness for Anthem of Flame. If you are running a Paragon hero, put the Anthem on its bar and take an additional attack skill (like Vicious Attack). Be sure to micro the Anthem between battles.
- Alternatively, trade the Anthem for "Fall Back!".
- Using Spear of Fury instead of Spear of Lightning will allow you to use "Save Yourselves!" as soon as your team enters combat. This tactic requires Anthem of Weariness, as Anthem of Flame will not trigger the conditional adrenaline gain.
- "For Great Justice!" for constant double adrenaline, by alternating between it and Focused Anger
- "Finish Him!" or "You Move Like a Dwarf!".
- If your party is bringing Order of Pain, Order of the Vampire, Barbs or Mark of Pain, swap Spear of Lightning for another spear attack, like Swift Javelin.
- Use Wild Throw to get through blocking stances.
- Combat hexes with Hexbreaker Aria in caster parties and follow-up with Spear of Fury to quickly regain adrenaline. Maintaining "Save Yourselves!" should be prioritized over Hex Removal, but you can still manage both.
[edit] Notes
- Playing this with an Arcane Orders Dervish hero is optimal. In this situation, "Go for the Eyes!" and Spear of Lightning should be traded for Swift Javelin and Vicious Attack.
- Your Kurzick/Luxon rank should be at least 3 for the build to work efficiently, and a Sunspear Rank of at least 8 is preferable. If using Spear of Fury, your Kurzick/Luxon rank should be at least 4.
- Commonly known as an "imbagon."
